In 1998 when the PRC Ministry of Justice conducted an overall evaluation of all the law firms in China for the first time, Tian Yuan was ranked 2nd among the top 20 Chinese law firms. Since 2000, Tian Yuan has been awarded by Beijing CPC Committee on Judicial Affairs and Beijing Municipality Justice Bureau as "An Accredited Firm in Legal Practice", "An Endorsed Law Firm of the People" and "An Excellent Law Firm", and was awarded by All China Lawyers Association "National Outstanding Law Firm" in 2005. Several lawyers of Tian Yuan have been awarded "Outstanding Lawyer of Beijing" and "Outstanding Lawyer of China".
