Yiduo LI (李毅多) graduated from Peking University Law School with honor and received the bachelor’s degree of law; thereafter, he was recommended to pursue Master’s degree at Peking University Law School. Mr. Li was sent to Japan Comparative Law Center as an expatriate researcher in the year 1987 and then opened the first lecture on modern China’s laws in Osaka where he lectured on Chinese law in Japanese to the circles of enterprises and law for a long while and developed good relationship with the latter. Mr. Li received the master’s degree of law from the Law Department of Kyoto University in the year 1991 and graduated from the doctor’s study at the Law Department of Kyoto University in the year 1994. During his days in Japan, Mr. Li participated in various investment plan projects of such investment firms as Fujitsu TV Station, involved himself in the investment consultancy for a long while, and worked over a long period of time with 三宅综合律师事务所; as such, Mr. Li, possessed abundant experiences in the fields of business, investment and legal practices.
Mr. Li used to be the specially invited researcher of the Comparative Law and Legal Sociology Research Center and Criminology Research Center of Peking University, the researcher of Japanese Comparative Law Research Center and the teacher of China National School of Administration. Currently, Mr. Li is also a deputy chief of the Japanese Science and Culture Research Council in Beijing. Mr. Li is profoundly versed in the legal theory.
Mr. Li used to practice with Han Hua Law Firm and joined Tian Yuan Law Firm in December 1997. The practice area of Mr. Li includes the law of contract, corporation, international trade investment and negotiation, securities, intellectual property, computer and internet, products liability, litigation, and arbitration. Mr. Li has been engaged by the Committee of Settlement of Liabilities for the Treasury Bond Redmption under the State Council to claim the credits for 28 major state-owned banks and securities companies. Various famous firms from Japan in the area of automobile, electronic appliances, computers, cosmetics and food have retained Mr. Li’s services. Mr. Li currently is the legal counsel to numerous local or foreign companies.
Mr. Li delivered a speech titled “Legal Issues Involved in Collection of Debts and the ermeasures” at the Japanese Commerce and Industry Convention in November 1998; attended to an international forum on “Revitalization and Protection of Asian Software Industry” under the auspices of Japanese Information Center in December 1998 where he spoke as the representative of China; and delivered a lecture titled “Business Opportunity and Change of Investment Environment after WTO Accession” at a forum under the auspices of International Talent Exchange Association and Fujitsu Company in January 5, 2005.
Mr. Li is excellent in Japanese, proficient in English and accomplished in computer and internet. Mr. Li set up the first (and the only so far) Chinese law information website in Japanese language and has partaken of the development and research of Chinese-Japanese legal database system co-sponsored by Copymart, a Japanese e-commerce system and Toyota Group.
