Mr. Tong Rou is a well-known civil jurist in my country and the founder and founder of the new Chinese civil law. Mr. Tong Rou has been teaching for more than 40 years, and many of his students have become the backbone of civil law teaching, research and practice in China today. At the symposium commemorating the centenary of Professor Tong Rou’s birth, experts and scholars respectively recalled the past with him, reviewed the guidance and influence they received on the academic road, thanked him for his great contributions to the civil law cause and the cultivation of legal talents in New China, learned from Mr. Tong’s ideals and beliefs in adhering to the rule of law, loyal to the party’s educational cause, continued to promote his thoughts and accomplishments, and integrated academic research into the construction of the country’s rule of law.
